Caleb Morrison

Casino Reviewer & Data Analyst

I grew up in Hamilton — rugby town through and through. Went to Waikato Uni, studied computer science, and ended up working in data analytics for a logistics company in Auckland. I still make it back to Hamilton for Chiefs games when I can, and I follow the Warriors more loyally than they probably deserve.

I got into online casinos around 2021 when a workmate showed me a pokies site during our lunch break. The first site I tried was terrible — took eleven days to process a $200 withdrawal and their bonus terms were written by someone who clearly did not want you to understand them. That experience got under my skin, so I started testing other platforms methodically.

My tech background means I track everything: payout speeds, RTP accuracy, mobile load times, bonus maths. I deposit my own money — usually between $50 and $150 per site — and I test on my iPhone 15 and an older Samsung Galaxy A54 to see how things perform on different devices. I have been doing this for about four years now, and I have tested well over 40 casinos that accept NZ players.

I am not a high roller by any stretch. I earn a normal salary, live in a rented place in Grey Lynn with my partner, and I treat casino play as entertainment with a strict budget. If a site is not worth a regular Kiwi's time and money, it does not make my list.

When I am not reviewing casinos I am usually running the Waitakere Ranges trails, watching cricket, or trying to convince my mates that spreadsheets are actually interesting.

My approach to casino reviews is straightforward: I deposit real money, I play the games, I time the withdrawals, and I report what I find. No theoretical reviews, no rehashed press releases. Every casino on my site has been through the same rigorous testing process — if it did not pass, it did not make the list.

I focus specifically on what matters to NZ players. That means NZD support, POLi availability, withdrawal times to Kiwi bank accounts, and mobile performance on the devices Kiwis actually use. A casino might be world-class for UK players but if it does not cater properly to the NZ market, I am not interested.

If you have questions about any of the casinos I have reviewed, or if you want to suggest a site for me to test, I am always happy to hear from Kiwi players who take this stuff seriously.
