Calculate your real bonus value before you deposit
I built this calculator after realising how many Kiwi players accept bonuses without understanding the actual maths behind them. A 100% match bonus sounds great on paper, but when the wagering requirement is 50x, the effective value drops dramatically.
Enter your deposit amount, the bonus percentage offered, and the wagering requirement. The calculator will show you exactly how much you need to wager before you can withdraw, and what the bonus is actually worth per $100 wagered.
Total Wagering Required is the total amount you need to bet before you can withdraw bonus funds. This is calculated as bonus amount multiplied by the wagering requirement.
Expected Loss from Wagering factors in the house edge. If a pokies game has a 96% RTP, you lose 4% on average for every dollar wagered. Over $3,500 in wagers, that adds up.
Net Expected Value shows whether the bonus is mathematically worth taking. If this number is negative, you are statistically likely to lose more from the required wagering than the bonus is worth.
My general rule: if the wagering requirement is above 40x, think carefully before accepting. Below 35x is usually a fair deal for NZ players.
